剑身为精钢锻造，保存完好，形制与当时的决斗轻剑相仿，主要为与礼服搭配使用。剑身中心起脊，剑脊逐渐收窄，后部剑身横截面为六边形，延伸到剑尖转变为菱形。剑身总体造型修长尖锐，剑刃并未开锋。剑身后半部分雕刻有植物纹饰，华丽典雅。铜鎏金护手为贝壳形，向前延伸，外侧浮雕有竖琴纹饰，充满了艺术气息，或为乐团相关人员佩剑。护手通过护指与柄首人像相连，护指雕刻有螺旋纹饰。剑柄安装有两片珍珠母贝贴片，晶莹剔透，柄箍及剑柄侧面盖板均雕刻有葡萄纹饰。柄首被塑造为贵族头像，生动细腻，其左耳边与护指狮头相连。剑鞘为木胎，包裹有黑色皮革，保存完好。鞘装均为铜鎏金，鞘尖雕刻有植物纹饰。鞘口一侧为持有者铭文及德语“慕尼黑”字样，以叶蔓纹包边，另一侧为花柱纹装饰，安装了一枚剑挂卡榫。全长92厘米。
