本件拍品年份优秀，包浆厚重。主体为精钢所制，枪身有明显收腰，而枪头加宽。茎部呈竹节状，装饰有青铜制环形及蒺藜形两枚八宝，颇具北方少数民族之特色。枪库有明显接口，末端包边，细节部分十分讲究。
此枪承袭宋代样式，原型应为宋代枪九色之一的锥枪，根据《武经总要•器图》记载，锥枪因属重型兵器，非大力猛将不能用。而其上的铜质装饰带有明显游牧民族风格，是中国历史上冷兵器文化交流融合的典型例证。全长39厘米。
