STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC WASH BASIN AND PITCHER, comprising a pitcher featuring "VIEWS OF THE / ERIE CANAL", as printed to underside, depicting view of the Aqueduct Bridge at Little Falls to one side and the entrance of the Erie Canal into the Hudson at Albany to other side, and a basin with the "ENTRANCE OF / THE ERIE CANAL / INTO THE HUDSON / AT ALBANY", as printed to underside. Enoch Wood & Sons, Burslem, England. 1818-1846. 10" HOA, 12 1/8" D rim. Pitcher undamaged with some minor glaze wear to rim and top of handle; basin with an approximately 4 1/2" hairline, barely visible due to decoration, and some usage wear to interior.
