STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN HISTORICAL TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC JUG / PITCHER, featuring two portrait medallions including one side depicting "WASHINGTON / HIS COUNTRYS FATHER" and reverse with "FAYETTE / THE NATIONS GUEST", the American seal below spout having "REPUBLICANS / ARE NOT Always UNGRATEFUL / Rd Hall & Son" to underside. Ralph Hall & Son, Tunstall, England. 1822-1849. 5 7/8" HOA. Excellent visual condition, having some professional restoration to spout and some scattered spots of discoloration to edge of foot ring.
