ENGLISH SPATTERWARE RAINBOW PLAID CERAMIC CUP AND SAUCER, each featuring blue-, green-, and red-sponged plaid/cross-striped decoration. Saucer with impressed four-square mark to underside. Second quarter 19th century. 2 5/8" HOA. Cup in excellent visual condition with professional restoration to rim and base; saucer with minor light hairline to front that does not appear to go through to underside and some short scattered scratches from use.
