ENGLISH SPATTERWARE DOVE CERAMIC CUP AND SAUCER, featuring a polychrome hand-painted bird perched on a leafy branch with red-sponged border. Cup having impressed four-petal symbol to underside. Second quarter 19th century. 2 5/8" HOA. Cup with very light rim hairline, barely visible to exterior; saucer with minor light rim hairline and radial hairline to underside, each not appearing to go through to front, with some light short scattered scratches from use.
