Includes autograph letters signed, typed letters signed, documents signed, signed cards, and clipped signatures. Material dates from 1797 to 1946 and range in size from 2.5" x .75" to 8" x 10.5". Included in this group are the signatures of Henry Knox, James McHenry, John Armstrong, Robert Todd Lincoln, George Graham, Edwin M. Stanton, Simon Cameron, Alphonso Taft, Henry L. Stimson, Elihu Root, Robert P. Patterson. Condition: A few instances of dried adhesive residue or tape on verso indicating previous mounting. Some documents are toned, rubbed, and foxed in places.
