Alexander Hamilton Document Signed. One page, 7" x 9.25", Treasury Department [Philadelphia]; November 29, 1794. A Treasury Department circular regarding the duties on imports and tonnage for the purpose of discharging allowances due to fishing vessels in the District of Massachusetts. Signed by Treasury Secretary Alexander Hamilton and Benjamin Lincoln, Revolutionary War General and Collector for the Port of Boston. Handwritten note from Lincoln on verso reads in full: "Circular from Alex. Hamilton Esqr. Nov. 29 th 1794 in Regard to Retaining money for the Paym. Of the Allow. To Fisherman with Form of authority on B. Lincoln Esqr." Condition: 1.25" closed tear to crease on bottom margin. Smoothed, weakened folds.
