小杯上宽下敛，斜壁，敞口，卧足。瓷胎白润细腻，釉料莹亮。外壁淡勾青花，以黄、深浅草绿、矾红等敷色填廓，通绘子母鸡图。一面见公鸡红冠蓝尾，昂首高鸣，一母率三雏紧随其后，觅食于野地，凝神啄食。另一面雌鸡觅得红翅昆虫，雄鸡回望，幼雏追看，左方另有小鸡一双，草丛前后捉迷藏。两面间饰浅黄萱草、艳红月桂，枝叶茂密，皆自青花寿石而出，发色淡雅恬静，浅青柔绿甚相宜。底署“大明成化年制”六字双行双方框款。
