此器表施白釉，因明代宜兴地区匠人仿宋代钧釉烧制而得名，流行于明晚至清早期，有天青、天蓝、芸豆、月白等品种之分，器物为六方形，六方折肩大瓶出现于雍正、乾隆时期，晚清仍十分流行。瓷器讲究一方顶十圆，六方器为泥片拼琢而成，器型又如此高大，对制作的工艺要求极高。通体施釉，釉面月白，釉层较厚，开片细密，装饰效果极佳。
