A pair of Chinese celadon-ground general jars dating from the 19th century. Each jar features a scene of lotuses on one side in blue and white glaze. Each lid has similar lotus decoration, but one lid also features a pattern of dots. Dimensions are: each measures 16 1/2 inches tall X 10 inches wide, 41.9 cm X 25.4 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The lid with dots has a chip to the finial, a hairline to the rim, and a glaze pop that has been ground down. The other lid has surface abrasions. One body has several glaze skips, and the other has iron pitting, but neither has any noted damage.
