Pieces date to the first half of the 19th century and are mounted in period frames with stamped brass fronts and hanging rings. Silhouettes appear to be cut from black paper and affixed to the background. Dimensions: 4 1/4 inches tall X 3 1/2 inches wide; 10.8 cm tall X 8.9 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Female figure has yellowing of material. Male figure has possible water stain in lower section. Provenance: From a Northern Virginia collection.
