An early 20th century Iranian (Persian) silver vase, Shiraz circa 1930 Pahlavi dynasty, of tapering cylindrical form upon a conical base with domed edge. The flaring lobed rim with pierced and chased edge of C scrolls and flower heads. The body with deep chased monabbat-kari figures including the investiture of Khosrow Parviz receiving the ring of office from Ahura Mazda the supreme Zoroastrian god with fan bearers either side, underneath a seated King Darius with fan bearers and emissaries. The obverse with deep chased flowers with a nightingale attending her nest with chicks (golo morph), with goats below, all with a textured background. The collar deep chased with the same scenes as on the body in a continuous frieze. The domed section of the foot with deep chased flower heads and nightingales (gul-o-bolbol). Unmarked.
