A Chinese watercolor and ink on paper handscroll painting attributed to Wang Yuanqi. The painting has 8 seals while the calligraphy has 2. The painting depicts 8 figures in a landscape with mountains and a river. Dimensions: 18 inches tall X 137 inches wide; 45.7 cm tall X 348 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. High resolution images can be found here Condition: Areas of wearing, creasing, staining, and 2 areas of worm damage. Provenance: From the estate of Lee Yuhuang. Mr. Lee was an accomplished artist and art collector in Hong Kong, where he was part of the Lingnan School, before he emigrated to San Francisco. While in San Francisco, he taught Chinese painting techniques and continued to collect Chinese paintings and calligraphy.
