Dimensions: 13-7/8" H x 7-1/8" Dia. Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, YongZheng monochrome vase. The porcelain potted in baluster shape vase, large, thick and tall, globular mid body, slight ovoid, tapered gracefully toward straight tall cylindrical neck, with flaring mouth rim, raised on a short splayed round foot base with slight concave. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in masterfully covered in an even coat of a deep blue glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white under glaze. The blue glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. The foot rim reveals the cut edges during the making process, and the receded central interior base left white under glaze. The porcelain displays a subtle sheen as the light ricochets across the finely glazed exterior. Mark on under base, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, YongZheng Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
