Dimensions: 5" H x 5-1/2" Dia. Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Qianlong monochrome vase. Potted in thick and globular lower body, slight oval, tapered gracefully toward straight short cylindrical neck, with slight flaring mouth rim, emerging three rings flanked on the shoulder, raised on a short small flat round foot base. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in masterfully covered in an even coat of a deep turquoise glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white under glaze. The turquoise glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. The foot rim reveals the cut edges during the making process, and the receded central interior base left white under glaze. Mark on under base, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, QianLong Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
