Dimensions; 12-3/8" H x 7-1/2" Diam. Finely potted in Chinese traditional YuHuChun shape vessel, the pear-shaped bottle vase, a bottom-heavy body tapered gracefully to the slender-waisted neck, flaring at the rim, supported on short spreading foot ring. All delicately in a cobalt blue color hand painting on a clean white underglaze base color. the neck decorated with upturning tropical lappets, and a scrolling tendril banded with double fine blue ring lines. The belly decorated in a landscape of the Tropical leaves , interspersed with various floral and foliage, tall bamboo trees, rocky mountain and peace Lishui water. Tropical leaves and bamboo is symbolic of longevity, youth, strength, suppleness, flexibility, adaptability, endurance, good luck, prosperity, virtue and traditional values. The flowers that turn into the banana fruit are sterile and because of this, Buddha made the banana plant the symbol of futility of earthly possessions. In Asia, the banana plant is considered a very large herb and not a tree as it doesn’t have any seeds and because of this, it was considered the first gift from the gods. Classic Chinese iconography shows Buddha meditating on the key to wisdom at the foot of a banana plant. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.
