Dimensions; 10in H x 6.5in W x 6.5in D Extraordinary Chinese Qing Dynasty Tibetan gilt bronze Buddha Teacher Yeshe Dorje, Zanabazar, Khutughtu, 1635–1723; The right arm is in the dharmachakra mudra which forms the mystic circle by connecting the middle two fingers with the thumb representing the wheel of the dharma in motion, and teaching. The left arm rested on the lap holding a ritualistic bell. The eyes and lips are hand painted. Rests upon a double lotus pedestal with flowing robes spilling over his legs and onto the platform. Bronze is in beautiful condition with minimal marring of the surface. Resplendent quality due to extensive trace of gilt on surface. The underside with incised gilt quatrefoil flori-form petal visvavajra mark surrounding the centralized DaiJi.
