茄皮紫釉又称“茄紫釉”，是-种低温颜色釉。清蓝浦《景德镇陶录》卷三记载:“紫色釉，黑铅粉末加石子青、石末合成。”可知紫釉的主要着色剂应为锰，釉料中的铁、钴起调色作用，最终形成类似茄子皮的紫色，故称。因多用浇釉法施釉，故又称“浇紫釉”。其呈色变化多端，有深、浅茄皮紫、葡萄紫、玫瑰紫等色。以釉色均匀无纹片者为上等，虽有开片但片纹紧密者次之。
