本品撇口，弧壁，圈足，足内敛，通体施祭红釉，色泽均匀，足底施白釉，落“大明嘉靖年制”六字楷书双圈寄托款。霁红釉，亦称“积红釉”、“醉红釉”、“宝石红釉”，釉色似初凝的鸡血，深沉安定，莹润均匀，是明宣德时创烧的著名铜红釉品种。宣德之后，高温铜红釉少有烧制，技艺渐趋失传。清康熙朝,仿烧成功，但多为郎窑红、豇豆红，霁红釉器至雍干两朝时方大量生产。
