本品为大器，大口，直口，耸肩，收腹及底外撇，圈足。通体施郎窑红釉。朗窑红为我国名贵的传统红釉之一，因其于十八世纪始产于清朝督陶宫郎廷极所督烧的郎窑，故称“郎窑红”郎红与美人醉釉又称粉红釉、孩儿脸釉、 豇豆红釉、桃花片釉等十分相近，初创于明代，清代有很大发展。清康熙、雍正、乾隆三朝社会经济比较繁荣，制瓷工艺达到我国历史高峰。凡是明代已有的品种不仅都能烧造，而且大多有所提高或创新。由于有一个在位60年的康熙皇帝酷爱艺术，在他的倡导下，郎红器比明代更成熟和多有极精的产品问世。另有，康熙时期郎红中的厚釉器（也称为呆釉），色如牛血，称为“牛血红”。
