白玉质，洁白细腻。镂雕鹭鸟纹圆形嵌饰。鹭鸟低飞，穿梭于莲花、茨菰丛中，身体羽翼已阴线刻画，整体雕工细致。此器主题图案隆起，整体托于圆环上，这种形制的嵌饰应为古代绦环。 绦环的流行大约起始于宋代，时人着道服腰间需系绦，用环与钩加以固定。彼时的道服并非道士专用，也是士人的闲居之服。绦环即将钩、环互相套接。最早的绦环形式较为简单，多为光素的圆环或花瓣形环，后发展为多层镂雕的花卉绦环，此绦环即是一例。
