此件三足鼎仿商周圆鼎而制，且腹部出戟，双耳冲天，显其端庄古朴之形态。平口唇沿，束颈圆腹，底承三柱足，其势外撇。腹部主体纹饰为菱形框内十字金刚杵纹饰，另表面鎏金，三圆足，配以红木盖，盖镂空云纹，顶上嵌玛瑙灵芝纹炉顶，下配红木底座。整器包浆古润，所铸纹饰细致，神秘威严，立体感极强，嵌饰工艺精湛，银丝粗韧，别具一格，蕴华丽于古雅之中，具有强烈的佛教含义及装饰效果。明末清初之际，慕古之风盛行，商鼎周尊造型的器物开始出现在上层社会的装饰之中，并成为文房清供之佳物。
