Baudin, Paris The drum-case set with six curved bevelled glass panels, on a pair of reeded columns to an ormolu-mounted plinth base on toupie feet, the 6.5 inch white enamel dial with black Roman and Arabic numerals enclosing separate concentric date and day dials, with pierced and engraved gilt hands for the time and blued steel for the calendar, framed by a ribbon-tied bezel set with entwined palm leaves, the signed spring driven movement with deadbeat escapement, silk suspension and outside countwheel strike on a bell, with sunburst mask pendulum and a key.
