TEAPOT COVERED IN GRES / YIXING ENAMELLED TERRACOTTA 宜興柴砂

It rests on a ring-shaped base, oblong in section, it is topped by a lid centred on a fritel and has a handle and a short beak, both in imitation of the lignified thatch of bamboo. It is decorated with an applied decoration of grapes and dormice. Polychrome enamels in shades of yellow, mauve, green and brown. Mark with four characters in kaishu in a stamped square below: 宜興柴砂 / YIXING CHAI SA. Mark with two characters in an oval cartridge stamped in the hollow of the lid: 項銓 / XIANG QUAN. Piercing of the lid for evaporation (small accidents at the lip of the lid).
