Measurements: Height: 1 5/8" Diameter: 7" Chinese Qing Dynasty sgraffito lemon-yellow monochrome glazed porcelain plate. Finely potted with a rounded body of the plate is finely potted with a broad base and shallow rim. Meticulous finish sgraffito dragon carving beneath the attractive egg-yolk-yellow monochrome glazed covers the delicate clay, showing silky smooth sheen and conforming the dragon design. The immaculate porcelain body covered with a characteristic silky glaze. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity and the Lishui wave pattern which is known to be the abode of dragons. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant finish that was applied by a meticulous glaze, the shape is uniformly proportioned. The under-base bears a reign mark, a six underglazed blue seal script characters reign mark, Made in The Years of Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
