Qian Songyan is a Chinese, 20th century, male. Born 1898, in Wuxi (Jiangsu); died 1986. Painter. Scenes with figures, landscapes with figures. Qian Songyan began learning the techniques of traditional Chinese painting at the age of nine. He became an assistant painting master at the Chinese Painting Academy of Jiangsu Province, a member of the popular committee of the town of Wuxi, and vice-president of the Wuxi Literary Union. He acquired a degree of technical facility early on.
