NEVERS, late 18th century. Two revolutionary PLACES with contoured edges in stanniferous earthenware. Polychrome decoration of big fire : - ASSEMBLY with a cartouche bearing in its center a burning heart, surmounted by an inscription "W the freedom", framed by six blue flags, a beam of lictors surmounted by a pike and a Phrygian cap. A double garland decorates the base of the cartridge. On the reverse side handwritten inscription "Ripault". A similar model in the collections of the Musée Carnavalet, Paris. - ASSEMBLY decorated with a cartouche bearing in its centre an inscription "To the nation", framed by four blue flags, a flower and a Phrygian cap. A double garland decorates the base of the cartridge. On the reverse side the handwritten inscription "Ripault". Diam. 22.5 cm (splinters on the edge).
