NEVERS, late 18th century. Two revolutionary PLACES with contoured edges in stanniferous earthenware. Polychrome decoration of big fire: - ASSEMBLY with decoration in the center of a stick, a sword and a shovel forming a triangle framing a standard with the arms of France and supporting the royal crown. On the reverse side the later handwritten inscription "Ripault 14". A similar model in the collections of the Musée Carnavalet, Paris. n°C199. - ASSEMBLY decorated with a knotted stock, sword and shovel, a closed crown above and two flippers below. On the reverse side the handwritten inscription "Ripault and blue mark". Diam. 23 and 22 cm (splinters at the edge).
