铜韦陀为佛教主要护法神之一，神格尊阶极高，常被安置于佛寺中央天王殿后，手执金刚宝杵，守护大雄宝殿内主神释迦牟尼佛，也经常侍立于观音身旁，充当观音菩萨的护卫。此尊韦陀头戴战盔，身披金缕锁子甲，腰系革带，足踏乌云皂履，帔帛与衣袍飘扬飞动，在端庄凝重中透出律动感。造像身躯修长健硕，形象威武刚健，左手当胸持印，右手持圆环，威风凛凛站立于方形台座之上。台座下方，一头老虎仰首望向主尊，虎尾摇曳向上，姿态生动。整像刻划细致入微，尤其座下老虎的刻画十分传神。
