Manuscript Book contains a working log of most if not all of the members of 21st Conn. Volunteers by Company. Entries start with date and location of enlistment of individual members, there promotions and war record. Some have been killed and the battles at which they met there fate and it is so recorded. Recorded entries of the members was carried on over the decades with deaths, some recorded into the early 20thc. Entries include soldiers being Captured and dying in Andersonville Prison, an over packed Confederate prisoner of war compound. Killed in action at Fredericksburg, VA, Petersburg, Drewryâs Bluff and other battles.
