Chinese Qing Qilin Mythical beast celadon jade effigy.
Chinese grayish-celadon jade carved unto a model of mythical beast qilin, seated in relaxing position on its four legs, with the body slightly bend to front, the head facing straight forward, its tail gently curved upward on the right hip. The body carved scales and flames. The qilin jade is graciously displayed on a carved hardwood stand and fitted the sculpture, adorned with scrolling ruyi and tendril rounded the stand. The jade shows grayish-celadon color, with sporadic darker and lighter hues of natural inclusions, displayed moist milky appearance.
