A FINE SIGNED DRAGON DESIGN TABRIZ CARPET, NORTH-WEST PERSIA approx: 12ft.3in. x 9ft.4in.(373cm. x 283cm. The ivory field with beautifully drawn dragon design with large polychrome palmettes, bold serrated floral linked bands together with animals, dragons and stylised birds. In soft green border of bold palmettes with grotesque faces, flowering vine and animals between angular flowering vine and plain stripes. Touches of slight wear to the pile in few small places otherwise good pile. Selvages rebound, very well done. Ends with short fringes, secured. Very good colour combination.
