A FINE SAROUK CARPET, WEST PERSIA approx: 13ft.1in. x 9ft.4in.(399cm. x 283cm.) Excellent quality carpet with very fine and soft wool used. Classic for this type with well drawn design and good colour combination. So called American Sarouk as popularity for this type was extremely high years back. Both ends are secured, one with original kilim. Selvages are also original. Apart of one or two tiny old repairs on edge, not visible on the face of the carpet, this piece has full pile and in general is in very good condition throughout. Attractive piece.
