Chinese Pale Celadon Hardstone Ink Stand of a carved and pierced plaque base with gilt bronze edge mount, further mounted with a hardstone inkwell and cover with gilt bronze hinge and 2 carved hardstone ducks mounted as a pen rest; together with 2 hardstone Cups with russet patches, the bases with convex feet. Cups in good condition, gilt hinge to mouth of inkwell bent, 1 duck missing beak and legs re-stuck to base, carved plaque base with hairline cracks. Height of inkstand with base 3 1/8 inches (8 cm.) X width 5 3/4 inches (14.6 cm.).
