The long rectangular plaque painted in well-fired copper red with a Ming style dragon against scudding waves incised to the fabric beneath a colorless glazed ground, the reverse of the plaque without glaze; now sealed within a joined wood frame fitting into a conforming pieced wood stand with openwork and scalloped aprons.
