Li Qimao (born 1931), Hen with Nine Chicks, China, 20th ct., silk mounting, 45,3 x 69,2 cm, ink and colors on paper. Inscription by the artist with signature: "Qimao". Three seals of the artist: "Calligraphy and painting" (zihua), "Qimao", "Li Qimao". Li Qimao was from Woyang xian in Anhui province. After World War II he moved to Taiwan, where he studied at the Art Department of the Military College, graduating in 1956.
