A figural knife with deeply and finely relieved decorations to handle and sheath.
Silver-washed brass handle features ornate reliefs, including a lions head and tools of the gendarme; sheath is likewise ornately made up, and features a monogram shield on one shield and the relief of a crowned king on the other. The blade, a needle-point dagger of 3.5", has a strong diamond cross section, and a long rounded ricasso. Marked SSS around a standing scepter.
