(10) pottery pieces from the Western Hemisphere, 20th century: a) Pottery Craft earthenware teapot with color blocked and fading white and grey-blue glaze, straw wrapped handle, and smooth, brown interior. Inside of lid is inscribed with "POTTERY CRAFT 460 MADE IN USA". Dimensions are: 8 inches high with handle X 8 inches long with spout. Pottery Craft was a trademark of Treasure Craft, an important California and Hawaii pottery manufacturer of the 1940's - 1990s. The company was bought out in 1995; b) squat, unglazed clay jar with corn cob decoration on exterior, mark on base reads "EVENING STAR/ PAMUNKEY/REESRVATION/VIRGINIA". Note inside states "Made by Evening Star Pamunkey Reservation/ Decorated with Corn Cob." Dimensions are: 4 inches diameter X 2 1/4 inches high. c) squat ceramic vessel with green-yellow slip over top half and small, brown glazed mouth. Mark on bottom "Peninsula Potters Bird 1995." Illegible signature inscribed at bottom. Dimensions are: 3 1/2 inches diameter X 2 1/2 inches high; d) rounded vessel with small mouth and white slip, with broad slashes of brown.
