Collection of early hand-painted Nippon porcelain, circa 1891, Japan. a) Three footed bowl with a scalloped lip and hand-painted decoration of flowers highlighted by gilded bands and raised gold beading. b) Matched cream pitcher and lidded sugar bowl. Each with the image of pink flowers with gilded panels and raised gold beading. Dimensions are: a) 2 3/4" high X 9 1/2" dia., b) sugar bowl - 3 3/4" tall X 6" wide X 3 1/2" deep. All measurements are approximate. Condition: All pieces are free of chips, cracks and repairs. a) Wear to the exterior gilding. Provenance: From the personal and private collection of a former member of the Foreign Service and her husband.
