(2) Boxed Japanese dolls: A Hanako doll with 6 wigs from the 1950s. The doll has 6 interchangeable wigs for different occasions. A Okaguranignyo dancer doll with 6 interchangeable masks for Noh and Kagura plays. Housed in the original wood box. The lot includes a red lacquer cabinet with inlaid silver fans, a black and gold lacquer vanity mirror, and a black and gold lacquer tansu, all in miniature so as to fit a dollhouse. Dimensions are: doll is 6 5/8 inches tall X2 1/8 inches wide; the red lacquer is 3 3/4 inches tall X 5 inches deep; the vanity is 7 1/2 inches tall X 5 1/8 inches wide; the tansu is 9 inches tall X 7 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The Hanako doll has some damage to the hands and to its base wig. The box is missing the front label. The box with a piece of wood which come off but is included. The tansu is missing some handles and has some damage to the hinges and the vanity has damage to the mirror. There is a small chip to the red lacquer drawers. Provenance: From an estate in Alexandria, Virginia.
