Conceived in the style of Faberge, this table top ornament is designed in the form of an up-turned egg, carved from a large specimen of rich green Siberian nephrite, the base decorated with gilt-metal motif of oak leaves, accented with lines of small brilliants. The removable lid, with pansy-flower decoration embellished with small rubies and a citrine to the center of each, opening to reveal a heart-shaped, carnelian agate and gilt-metal decorated miniature picture frame, height 2 3/4in Height of egg overall: in (2)
