Tang DynastyThe muscular lion carved seated on its hind legs with extended forelegs and bulging chest, the head slightly turned to its left, bearing a ferocious expression with bared teeth and bulging eyes, the neck covered with a curly mane. 24.8cm (9 3/4in) high.
