Late 19th/20th centuryAn unusual flat-bottomed bowl in the form of a frog with an open mouth and a small boy to one side, late 19th century, 14.3cm wide: all the rest of typical design partially covered with splash and flambé glaze at shoulder or rim above a banded bisque body with applied figures; a teapot and cover, signed Ban-ni, 20cm high to top of swing handle; two vases signed in blue Inoue Ryosai, another vase with incised mark, two smaller vases, a cylindrical jar and cover, two irregularly rimmed bowls, and a small pot in the form of a shell with applied monkey.Largest vase 20.3cm high, smallest vase 8.5cm high.
