Circular bottle carved with bats: Imperial, Daoguang mark and of the period, 1821-1850The first a circular-sectioned bottle, each broad side identically carved with a shou medallion between two bats enclosed by a ruyi collar band, the flat foot finely incised with Daoguang nian zhi mark; the second a tapering hexagonal bottle, each facet carved with a writhe kui-dragon between wide borders of chrysanthemum petals surrounding the shoulder and above the slightly recessed foot. 2 3/8 and 1 7/8in (6 and 4.8cm) high
