|百達翡麗，3990P型號，極罕有鉑金鑲鑽石萬年曆計時手動上弦腕錶，配月相陰虧及閏年顯示，1995年。附後補資料庫精萃。The Reference 3990 was produced from 1995 until 2005 and represents the first Patek Philippe perpetual calendar chronograph ever produced with a diamond-set bezel. A close kin of the iconic Reference 3970, the Reference 3990 also houses the Nouvelle Lemania ebauche, the CH 27-70 Q, the last of the perpetual calendar chronograph movements not produced in-house and highly prized by collectors. The Reference 3990 is also the stylistic pre-cursor to the larger 40mm Ref. 5971 that was introduced in 2007. Produced in yellow, white and pink gold, the platinum version of the Reference 3990 is arguably the most precious and difficult to craft due to the metal's unique properties. Forty diamonds, weighing approximately 2.82 carats, adorn the bezel of the silvery, platinum case and ten round-cut diamonds further demarcate the numerals with a single baguette-cut diamond fixed at 12 o'clock. The glossy black dial appears almost liquid, layered over the two subtly engine-turned sub-dials; one for the seconds and 24-hour indication and one for the 30-minute register and leap year indicator. According to our research, the present example is fresh to the market and has never appeared at auction before.
