One seal of the artist: "Shizhou". The life of court ladies in the palace was a major theme in the work of Qiu Ying. He painted their different pastimes in a graceful and vivid manner. The beautiful palace building in fine jiehua line drawing technique and the majestic pine in the literati style are characteristic for his painting in the sixteenth century.
