First quarter 19th century, probably Philadelphia. The hinged De-Form top turning on the conforming apron, stencil decorated in the center, raised on columnar supports centering a mirror plate within a molded surround. Joined to four down swept legs terminated in ram's head cast-brass casters. Table retains original surface with fine patina, no restoration or significant damages noted. From the private collection of Dorothy Merle-Smith Pyle and David Hunter McAlpin Pyle of Hunting Hollow Farm, Dix Hills, NY. Dorothy Pyle was also known as one of the Galloping Grandmas of the Essex Fox Hounds circa 1949. By descent through the family to the present owner. Condition: Dimensions: 30" x 37" x 18-1/2".
