|Thomas Jung (American, b.1942) is an advertising art director, graphic designer and illustrator who is best known for his movie poster artwork and his work as a motion picture storyboard artist. Jung has worked on movie poster artwork for films such as Doctor Zhivago, Grand Prix, Star Wars, The Dogs of War, and Once Upon a Time in America. The film Le Mans, directed by Lee H. Katzin, depicts a fictional 24 Hours of Le Mans auto race starring Steve McQueen. It features actual footage captured during the 1970 race held the previous June. This important and rare artwork was used for the U.S and British poster campaigns.Provenance: From a private collection
