笔筒圆体，镶红木口及底。筒身以去地浮雕技法为主，雕刻竹林中一老者抚琴，两童子恭候在其左右。山林树影，静谧的世外桃源景象。所刻画的人物神态细腻，把握精道。镂雕竹林，排列紧密，根根通透，尤为引人注目。此器刀法深峻，层层雕镂，体现出典型的嘉定竹刻风格。
